Carla Arena supervises the Educational Technology area at the Casa Thomas Jefferson and has been involved in the design and management of CTJ e-learning. she considers herlself a lifelong learner. Her main interests are faculty development and educational technology.

Ronaldo holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and is a Linguistics PhD student at UnB. He is a Casa Thomas Jefferson teacher, EdTech Facilitator and teacher trainer. Technology-mediated language teaching/learning is among his main interests.

Marcus has been a teacher for fifteen years and working at the casa for five. He is currently taking his MA in TEFL and is a member of the Casa's EdTech team. Photography is one of his hobbies.

Erika Cruvinel has been teaching English at Casa Thomas Jefferson since 1999 and is currently a member of the Casa's EdTech team and Deputy Coordinator at the Sudoeste branch. She is especially interested in the use of Web 2.0 tools to promote authenticity and motivation in the English class.

Lilian has been an English teacher for ten years, started teaching at Casa Thomas Jefferson in 2006 and is currently a member of the Casa's EdTech team. She holds a degree in Translation from UnB. She also has a Michigan certificate and a CTJ Teacher Development Course Certificate.
The objective of this presentation is to provide teachers with ideas to create digital stories using comic strips.
Claudio has been teaching EFL for over 15 years. He's been the EdTech monitor at Lago Sul branch for over three years now and has been helping in the introduction of the Online Basics course at the Casa.
This demonstration aims at showing participants how to create online games for practicing and reviewing, with the use of tools already available on the internet.
We are Carla, Erika and Ronaldo, Casa Thomas Jefferson teachers and Technology enthusiasts. We truly believe that by teaching and using online social networking tools in the classroom, we can help our students see the world with different eyes, know other cultures and meet students from around the globe, using English to communicate. We hope that our students will, then, be able to shape their own future, respecting cultural diversity and valuing those cultural differences.
